Understanding of YouTube Search

YouTube Search is a built-in search engine where user can do a Text search or Voice search to find Videos and channels to their specific interest. The Search engine user’s intent and rank the results based on Relevance, P13N and Quality of Video.

The goal of YouTube Search

  • For Users: To enable and assist users in finding the most relevant videos based on their intent quickly and easily.
  • For Creators: To enable creators to make their content discoverable to the right set of audience, so that they get more views and engagement for their videos
  • For YouTube: To enable both Users and Creators to be happy, so that user keeps coming and discovering content via YouTube Search to garner more watch time on the platform and in turn more Ad Revenue.
